UKICERI: UK-India Clean Energy Research Institute is an Indo-UK collaborative project jointly funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India and Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), UK. The India-side team is led by IIT Kharagpur while Loughborough University is the lead institute from the UK side.

Objectives: UKICERI aims to develop converter technology suitable for high power integration of Photo-voltaic (PV) energy into grid, to investigate the impact of increasing penetration of PV power on grid dynamics and network reliability and to determine cost effective storage solution to reduce intermittency.

  • Dr J.N. Roy, Professor, IIT Kharagpur, has published a book in the field of solar photovoltaics (SPV), titled "Photovoltaic Science and Technology". The book covers the fundamental concepts, current devices and technologies as well as new materials and devices.

  • UKICERI Annual Meeting cum Industry Conclave 2018 is scheduled to be organized by IIT Kharagpur on July, 12-13, 2018. This will have Keynote Lectures, Work-package wise presentations, Panel Discussions, Poster Presentations. For industry conclave, there will be brief presentations related to the products developed in order to explore the prospect of industry collaboration.
